The Islanders lose for the second day in a row as they fall to the Bruins, 3-1.
Hogan got things going when he scored with 4:06 left in the first. Two minutes later, Kobasew scored on a rebound to make it 2-0 Bruins.
Early in the second, Hogan scored again, to make it 3-0. Not even a minute later, Chris Campoli fired one behind Tim Thomas, to make it 3-1.
-There was no scoring in the 3rd period-
My 3 Stars:
1. Jeff Hogan
2. Josef Vasicek
3. Mike Morrison
Notes from the game:
-Vasicek played an unbelievably hard-working game.
- Morrison followed up MacDonald's great performance last night, looking sharp on every shot.
-Kip Brennan played as the tough guy tonight. He dropped the gloves two times, and had some type of scrum with Chara throughout the game.
- Once again, we took a lot of penalties tonight. But on the good side, we had a fabulous penalty kill.
-Martinek got into a lot of penalty trouble.
-These jerseys really seem to be giving us the EDGE (with all the pun anyone could even think of intending.)
0-2. Let's try to get our first win tomorrow against the Canadiens.
Let's Go Isles!!!
