After two tough losses to start the pre-season, the Isles come up with a win to end the 3-games-in-3-nights stretch.
Jon Sim got things going, scoring 2 goals in the first period. Captain Billy Guerin put another tally on the board to make it 3-0 Isles.
-There was no scoring in the second period-
In the third period, the Habs got their only goal of the game as Sergei Kostitsyn wristed one past Dubie.
My 3 Stars:
1. Jon Sim
2. DP
3. Bill Guerin
Notes from the game:
-Penalty trouble for the 3rd night in a row.
-Great penalty kill, once again.
-Sim was all around the ice tonight, he was given those two goals in return.
-DP played fabulous in his first game. New pads, again.
-Dubie also played good, but screwed up on the one goal.
-2 hour game. You don't see that much.
Next game is also against the Habs, but at the Bell Centre.
Let's Go Isles!!!
